06 Project Associate Positions at CSIR – Advanced Materials and Processes Research Institute (AMPRI), Bhopal, India

The CSIR-Advanced Materials and Processes Research Institute (AMPRI), Bhopal, invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for temporary positions on a contractual basis.

Available Positions:

1. Project Associate-II

    • Total No. of Positions: 01
    • Project No. & Title: IHP002405 “Assistive telescopic tool with Shape Memory Alloy wire actuator-based soft robotic gripper with machine vision for engineering applications.”
    • Duration of the Project: Initially one year
    • Essential Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent with two years of experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions.
    • Desirable/Job Description: Knowledge/Experience in CAD, CAM Mechanical Designs, 3D Printers, robotics, etc.
    • Upper Age Limit: 35 years
    • Monthly Emoluments:
      • Rs. 35,000/- + HRA for scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE, or through a selection process conducted by National level examinations by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
      • Rs. 28,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under the above category. 

2. Project Associate-I

        • Total No. of Positions: 01
        • Project No. & Title: IHP002412 “Study of alternate curing methods for curing of cement mortar/concrete.”
        • Duration of the Project: Initially one year
        • Essential Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.
        • Desirable/Job Description: Knowledge/Experience in R&D in civil engineering aspects, such as numerical modeling, concrete technology, 3D concrete printing, CAD, and geopolymeric concrete, etc.
        • Upper Age Limit: 35 years
        • Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 25,000/- + HRA

3. Project Associate-I

          • Total No. of Positions: 01
          • Project No. & Title: IHP002407 “Engineering the electronic structure, magnetic properties, and spin transport properties of MXenes and Janus 2D Materials for designing Next-Gen innovative spintronic and electronic devices.”
          • Duration of the Project: Initially one year
          • Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry/Physics from a recognized university or equivalent.
          • Desirable/Job Description: M.Sc. Project on Computational Chemistry/Physics, Knowledge of programming languages.
          • Upper Age Limit: 35 years
          • Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 25,000/- + HRA

4. Project Assistant

            • Total No. of Positions: 01
            • Project No. & Title: IHP002408 “Investigation of Deep Learning for Real-Time Melt Pool Classification in Additive Manufacturing.”
            • Duration of the Project: Initially one year
            • Essential Qualification: B.Sc. with one subject as CS/Diploma in Engineering (CS/EE/EC/ME) from a recognized university or equivalent.
            • Desirable/Job Description: Experience in AI/ML, additive manufacturing/3D printing.
            • Upper Age Limit: 50 years
            • Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 20,000/- + HRA

5. Project Associate-I

    • Total No. of Positions: 01
    • Project No. & Title: HCP-0101 – Jigyasa 2.0: Virtual Lab Integration
    • Duration of the Project: Initially one year
    • Essential Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Civil/CSE/Electronics OR M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry from a recognized university or equivalent.
    • Desirable/Job Description: Preference will be given to candidates with research experience.
    • Upper Age Limit: 35 years
    • Monthly Emoluments:
      • Rs. 31,000/- + HRA for scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE, or through a selection process conducted by National level examinations by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
      • Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under the above category.

6. Project Associate-I

    • Total No. of Positions: 01
    • Project No. & Title: SSP-072 – Design and development of Aluminum alloy (AA 6061) open-cell foam core sandwich panels for space application.
    • Duration of the Project: Initially one year
    • Essential Qualification: B.Tech in Metallurgical/Mechanical/Production Engineering or M.Sc. in Physics/Material Science from a recognized university or equivalent.
    • Desirable/Job Description: Work experience in material characterization will be preferred.
    • Upper Age Limit: 35 years
    • Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 25,000/- + HRA

Instructions:

  1. Eligibility: The applicant must be a citizen of India. Only those candidates who have already acquired the essential qualification & their results have been declared are eligible to apply. Result awaited/Final semester appeared or appearing/Ph.D. submitted etc., are not eligible to apply for any post. Experience, if required for any post, should be only post-qualification experience.
  2. Project Staff Services: The services of the above Project Staff will be co-terminus with the duration of the Sponsored/Consultancy Project. There would be no automatic shifting of Project Staff from one project to another. On completion of the tenure in one project, in case, one wants to apply for engagement in another project, he/she will have to go through the normal selection process. Engagement under the new project would be made only after submission of ‘No Demand Certificate’ and ‘No Dues Certificate’ in the previous project and submission of resignation from the previous project. The maximum duration, for which Project staff could be engaged in different projects taken together, will be 5 years. The performance of the Project Staff would be reviewed periodically so that anyone not found up to the mark could be replaced. As such, the offer of appointment will be given for a short duration, i.e., six months/one year, which may be extended further based on the recommendations of the Review Committee.
  3. Leave: Project Staff will be entitled to paid leaves as per rules.
  4. Reservation: All other things being equal, SC/ST/OBC candidates may be given preference over general candidates so as to ensure their representation.
  5. TA/DA: Project Staff will be entitled to TA/DA while on official tour.
  6. Medical Facilities: Project Staff will be provided medical facilities as per Central Govt. norms. This will be limited to the Project Staff only and not for his/her family members/dependents.
  7. Accommodation: Wherever applicable, the institute will provide accommodation to Project Staff, if possible. If accommodation is not possible, then they will be paid wherever applicable HRA as per rule.
  8. Miscellaneous: There would be no component of increment etc. for Project Staff and the consolidated remuneration to be paid to Project Staff may be called “Stipend”. The facility for Ph.D. registration shall be allowed to those Project Staff who have worked for a minimum period of two years and have at least cleared CSIR-UGC Lectureship (NET) or GATE examination or published 02 papers in international peer-reviewed journals.

Note:

  1. Candidates should go through the advertisement carefully to check their suitability in the area.
  2. In case a candidate fails to produce any of the above-mentioned documents/testimonials in original at the time of registration, he/she shall not be allowed to register for the further process.
  3. The posts advertised are provisional and subject to ascertaining the availability of funds under the respective projects before the declaration of results and issue of the engagement letter.

The selected candidates are expected to join immediately upon selection and bring with them all original testimonials including mark sheets and certificates, and Character & Attestation form, and also a passport size photograph at the time of joining, failing which their engagement can be withdrawn.
