Are you a postdoctoral researcher looking for new opportunities? National Cancer Institute, Bethesda, Maryland is recruiting for several Postdoctoral Fellowship positions. Apply now to be considered.

1. Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Summary of Postdoc Project

We are seeking to fill one position with a post-doctoral fellow. We study the functions of human and viral non-coding RNAs in a tumorigenic virus in order to identify pathways instrumental to viral pathogenesis and potentially lead to discovery of novel antiviral and anti-tumor targets. Currently, we are studying the functional significance of a subset of circular RNAs and human genes that are differentially regulated by viral infection.

2. Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Summary of Postdoc Project

A postdoctoral position is available in Dr. Steven Cappell’s lab, within the Laboratory of Cancer Biology and Genetics, Center for Cancer Research, National Cancer Institute. Dr. Cappell is interested in understanding how signal transduction networks are wired to form logical circuits and to understand how these networks function in space and time to regulate diverse aspects of human physiology. Our approach is to combine live-cell imaging of fluorescent biosensors in single cells with genetic and pharmacological perturbations to identify regulatory mechanisms of signal transduction pathways.

8. Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Summary of Postdoc Project

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Michael M. Gottesman in the Laboratory of Cell Biology, Center for Cancer Research, National Cancer Institute. The M. Gottesman lab has been at the forefront of discovery in the field of multidrug efflux transporter biology since its inception. Transporters that confer multidrug resistance in cancer also prevent drugs from crossing the blood-brain barrier (BBB), creating a formidable challenge for the treatment of brain cancers (PMID: 29643473).

9. Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Summary of Postdoc Project

A postdoc position is available in Dr. Li Yang’s Tumor Microenvironment and Metastasis Section within the Laboratory of Cancer Biology and Genetics, Center for Cancer Research, NCI, NIH in Bethesda, Maryland. Our group’s research focuses on how cancer cells interact with and adapt to the changing immune microenvironment in metastatic process and therapeutic resistance. We utilize proteomics, single cell sequencing, and functional genomics approaches to identify key regulators. The project investigates the mechanisms of immune microenvironment in tumor dormancy induction, maintenance, and reactivation. We anticipate uncovering the insight in breast cancer metastasis and therapeutic resistance.
